It’s always exciting to watch a character come to life. When I’m writing I love seeing how they react to their environment, how they adapt. You also, generally at least, have a pretty clear vision of what that character would look like.
When I wrote the main character of #ProjectStarlight I had a very clear idea in my head of what she looked like. So when I started getting back into some digital drawings the weekend I finally brought that image to life.
I decided to illustrate her from two moments in the first chapter. Here, she is a prisoner of a war that has long since past, unsure if she will ever be freed from the darkness.
