If you’re anything like me I love to look at what is coming next from authors I love and new authors I’m just discovering. With October just around the corner (can’t wait for Halloween!!!) here are some of the books I’m excited to get my hands on and read from next month:
My Roomate Is A Vampire
Described as The Flatshare meets Twilight– this is a romcom you’ll want to sink your teeth straight into!
I know I do. I am obsessed with romances at the moment, and make it fantasy as well? An iconic combination. Can true love find a way between Cassie (Human) and Frederick (vampire)? Will Cassie fall for the heart-melting notes he leaves in their apartment?
I am currently reading Icebreaker, which is so much fun so I cannot wait to read the new book from Hannah Grace, Wildfire!
Set in a summer camp two camp counsellors reconnect after a sizzling one-night stand, in what promised to be another swoon worthy romance. If Icebreaker is anything to go by this new book is set to be a delight!
The Library of Broken Worlds
A girl matches wits with a war god in this kaleidoscopic, epic tale of oppression and the cost of peace, where stories hide within other stories, and narrative has the power to heal… or to burn everything in its path.
Libraries. Check. Library Gods. Double Check. Epic battles to be fought, won and lost. Check. Check. Check. This one sounds so fun and different in this space I’ll definitely be adding it to the TBR pile asap!!
After the Forest
Ginger. Honey. Cinnamon. Flour. A drop of blood to bind its power.
Okay hands up if you love fairytale retellings. Well this one sounds like a blast, taking the Hansel and Gretel story to new and dangerous heights. There’s darkness looming and magic swirling about in 1650. Greta has a terrible and powerful secret, her own powers are growing. But if she’s not careful, they may be her downfall.
Doesn’t that sound delicious!!
October is a jam packed month as you can see, and I know there are so many other great books getting published over the coming weeks. With spooky season nearly here I am particularly keen to read After the Forest and My Roommate is a Vampire, it only seems fitting!! Are there any books publishing in October that you can’t wait to read? What are your anticipated reads? Let me know in the comments.
Happy Reading, Catherine x
